seems scary.....

I had a colonoscopy due to my U.C. I have been dealing with for 13 years now, but my doctor took 60 biopsies, this seems abnormal and really frickin scary! Is it normal to take that many?

I found that my doctor was doing the same things. I had severe colitis and they were wondering if it was actually Crohn's Disease. They could just be doing a thorough investigation to see if there's anything else that they can do for you.

Hang in there!

Well it certainly sounds thorough!  It was probably very smart since people don't like to take this test any more often than necessary.

Better to have a lot of biopsies and know what's going on than just a few that could miss something.

Hang in there.  You should have your results soon.
