The toppic is the closest i could get to what I am about to ask...
I would like to know how does Extacy effect people with Crohn's??
I know it's messy...and not a good idea, but I would like to know the truth...I don't take them often at all. If any..it would maybe once a month if that much at all. Really it is only once in a blue moon but I am currently having a major flare up ... my body is not reacting to my usual medication of steroids and azathioprine...i've been on my steroids now since end of april..my crp count keeps going up. Now on 60 and im affraid that after a weekend of taking extacy one night that this has an effect on my crp count and that maybe my blood tests hasn't been accurate because of it.

Please help. If i need to give more info i dont mind im just unsure if i should mention this to my GI and ... im about to start the Humira treatment...

Will it be ok for me to take a pill. I really dont go overboard .. i would never take more than 2. I wouldn't put my life at risk like that.

Sorry guys, it's been YEARS since I looked at my profile and lost my password and bla bla. But I'm back! but straight to the point..
I did go on XTC back then along with Coke, and all kinds of herbal remedies as well as smoke weed. And I am happy to say thank god I never went on to anything too hard cause I am clean and would only use something once in a blue moon if at all. I had a bad bad flare up at the time I wrote last. My CRP shot up to 69 and for 5 months my body didn't react to any of the meds they gave me. As you can imagen I was in a total panic! (which just made it even worse) but then the Humira miracle happened. I have been doing very well and my bloods have been normal since then. I do still have the odd bad days and my tiredness is still very bad and severe at times but no flare up since 2008 touch-wood. I am only 25 and love living...I don't want to scr3w around with it. Please write back and tell me how you all are and what happened since your feedbacks and did you guys find the answers you seeked. Love to all

Hey.. I just wrote this to confri on another topic.. but it relates to what you're asking so I've cut + pasted it:
I've had crohn's for 8 years, and got into party drugs quite heavily about 3 years ago. There was about a year I was up and down, but kept partying until I basically broke. I moved to another country to find stability away from party drugs, and have been completely clean for a year now. I am so sick! I was very severe when diagnosed, and then had barely any symptons for 6 years. But after a year of cleaning up my body, and looking after myself, I still can't hold down a job. I'm permanently ailing, as arthritis is my main sympton. Weed on the other hand, I dabbled in a few years before I started the party drugs, and although never affected me physically, did so emotionally. And those suffering from crohn's are quite likely to suffer depression at some point of their lives. So i would recommend getting your mate off all the drugs. I'm only 20, and I severely regret my choices. Good Luck

To you both, in another post I commented about drug use to Confri but apparetnly more than just his friend has Crohn's and is on illegal drugs.
Crohn's is an auto immune disease and causes your body to attack itself at times. Adding drugs to that mix is very unhealthy and NOT SMART.
I am on Humira currently and it is very restricted as far as if you have an infection, etc you must go off it. If you are about to start this regimen you need to tell your doctor EVERYTHING. Including that you have used recently. If your current meds are not helping this flare up then you need to tell him why you think that is or you will be miserably sick and possibly do more damage but I must say STOP DOING DRUGS.

I am a friend of a crohns sufferer.  The reason i am here is to ask anyone if there is a connection between crohns and drug use.  My friend uses pretty often.  The drugs of choice are Lortab, cocain, and XTC.  Is it coincidence that flare ups occur close to drug use, or is it not related? I actually know to others besides my friend that are users, and also have crohns.  Give me more feedback! I am very concerned.
