i have had severe pains in stomach for a while now, followed by severe diahrea, whereas i was nipping to the loo sometimes 6 times a hour, then i would go 3 days with no movements. i went to the docs, who said i could have gallstones or a kidney stone, they sent me to my local hostptial for a abdominal scan, which came back clear. i have had numerous blood tests, which came back normal. in the meantime, the stomach pains and diahrea, worsened, i noticed mucus on my stools, a yellowy orangey liquid seemed to run out of my bum, and i lost a little weight. this got me feeling so down, till one day, i was almost crying with the stomach pains, so i got an emergency appointment at the docs, she then gave me a rectum examination, and said she would get me a emergency apointment to see a specialist at my local hostptial to have the camera put up me backside, as she thought i could have irratable bowel diseaese. 2 1/2 weeks ago, i went to hostptial and had a flexible sigmoidoscopy, which was very painfull and embarrasing, and i am still waiting of the results, as the consultant took a whole load of biopsies. to this day i am still in pain with my stomach and suffering terrible diahrea, to a point when i have neva had so much diahrea in all me life, could this be IBS or the irratable bowel diseaese ???

was finally diagnosed with IBS this afternoon, going to docs on monday 2 discuss how to control it, and about about what i can eat and not eat. Had a sausage roll this morning, whic hgave me severe pains in me stomach so obviously pastry is a NO NO lol

It could be either.  Can you try taking some Immodium in the mean time to help slow things down?  And try eating a very bland diet for the time being - oats, yogurt, rice products, potatoes, only thoroughly cooked non-gassy vegetables, eggs, etc. and see if that helps a bit.  I hope you get your diagnosis and on to some treatment soon.
