Hi I did a search to see if the radiation could or would affect the US. I found this, don't know if it is a reputable news source so I apologize if it isn't

Thank you all for commenting. It is really interesting.
Could any of this have anything to do with Fukishima? Just wondering as I had heard a pier and debris from that area have been found near California and Oregon. I will look for link.
I 'm not even going to think about all the things, silly or not, that people get bent out of shape about~ LOL.
However, since human actions have contributed to the environmental disaster there is a reason to try and do something about it. We can change ( I know a radical idea)
"Domoic acid accumulation in seafood is a natural occurrence that is related to a “bloom” of a particular single-celled plant in ocean waters. The conditions that support the growth of this plant are impossible to predict."
California Updates Warning About Domoic Acid in Some Shellfish Species
By News Desk | November 13, 2015
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is updating its warning to consumers regarding certain seafood species caught along the California coastline which may contain high levels of domoic acid. There have been no reported illnesses associated with this event.
Advisories continue to be in place for:
Consumers to avoid eating recreationally and commercially caught Dungeness and Rock crabs caught in waters between the Oregon border and the southern Santa Barbara County line due to the persistent dangerous levels of domoic acid in these species.
Consumers to avoid eating recreationally harvested bivalve shellfish (mussels and clams) from Humboldt or Del Norte counties. The white meat (adductor muscle) of scallops caught in these areas may be consumed, but the viscera (internal organs) should be discarded.
However, an advisory is no longer in place for bivalve shellfish like mussels and clams, or for small finfish like anchovies and sardines caught in the Santa Cruz, Monterey, or Santa Barbara county areas. Recent testing has determined that domoic acid has declined and remained at undetectable levels in samples of these species from these areas.
CDPH is continuing to work with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, which recently issued emergency regulations closing the recreational and commercial Rock crab fishery and delaying the start of the recreational and commercial Dungeness crab fishery between the Oregon border and the Ventura/Santa Barbara County line due to dangerous levels of domoic acid found in crabs caught from these areas.
Domoic acid accumulation in seafood is a natural occurrence that is related to a “bloom” of a particular single-celled plant in ocean waters. The conditions that support the growth of this plant are impossible to predict. CDPH will continue its efforts to collect a variety of samples from impacted areas to monitor the level of domoic acid in seafood.
Symptoms of domoic acid poisoning can occur within 30 minutes to 24 hours after eating toxic seafood. In mild cases, symptoms may include vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, headache and dizziness. These symptoms disappear within several days.
In severe cases, the victim may experience trouble breathing, confusion, disorientation, cardiovascular instability, seizures, excessive bronchial secretions, permanent loss of short-term memory (a condition known as Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning), coma or death.
To receive updated information about shellfish poisoning and quarantines, call CDPH’s toll-free Shellfish Information Line at (800) 553-4133. For additional information, visit CDPH’s Natural Marine Toxins: PSP and Domoic Acid information sheet and CDPH’s Domoic Acid health information page.

On Wednesday/ Dec. 2, on the Discovery Channel, there will be an interesting environmental documentary airing about the extinction crisis going on w/ our planet. I believe the title is "Racing Extinction".

Thank you all for your comments. I had some tests done so just got back on line. Thank God it is still the old format LOL
I was afraid to post at first as my husband is a bit of a conspiracy theorist. So when he comes up with something I try to find it in the regular news. It scares me when he is right. I saw he was looking at mass death of fish all over the world, this was dated in September of this year.
When the bees started disappearing years ago I didn't think much of it. Now I realize every thing on earth is important to our survival. Each creature has a purpose and we are killing them.
The wolves in Oregon have just been taken off the endangered species list because there are 81, 81? Oh, I don't have the link, sorry, I saw it on FB
Thank you all again.
"Climate change is real and life threatening to all of us." A lot of other things are lot more real and life threatening and no one is getting all bent of shape about them...
Yes, no ocean no people, Climate change is real and life threatening to all of us.
The neuro-toxin being found in crab and other shellfish is the result of a larger than normal algae bloom caused by warmer than normal waters. This is actually a fairly minor problem when compared to the ocean continuing to suck up the carbon dioxide we create and turning it into carbonic acid. When that saturation point is reached, we either stop burning coal and oil or we stop breathing.
Monsanto is doing billions of $$$ worth of damage in this country with their herbicide/pesticide and they get away with it because they have all the lobbyists that grease the palms of our wonderful Congressmen/women...
Amazing how contaminants containing glyphosate and other harmful chemicals have been banned in other countries, but are alive and well to kill us off here in the U.S...
As I search I am finding other disturbing deaths. When the bees first started to die away I didn't think much of it but as time goes on and I read stories like this; I realize every animal is necessary to our future. I feel a little silly saying this but frightened at the same time....for our future
I just did a search for mass death of animals, over the past 4 years there have been plenty.
INFO: 970 MILLION Monarch butterflies - a major pollinator - have been killed since 1990 in America by Monsanto's herbicide, wiping out 90 percent of America's total population of Monarchs. (source)
INFO: MASSIVE die off that went unreported in 2011. MILLIONS of sea urchins and sea stars die suddenly along 60 miles of California coast in what was 'one of the most unusual and dramatic die-offs marine biologists have ever recorded.' (source and here)
