Iceland's economy recovered from the financial crisis better than most because the government bailed out the people and jailed the bank criminals.

I couldn't find the full article on this just a link to the commenaries about what Iceland did. I will keep looking, but I am going to post this now to generate some thoughts on it...
I know nothing of how the economy works, so I am looking forward to reading everyone's thoughtful takes on this..

We don't hear anything about what happens in Iceland because they aren't at war with themselves, their neighbors or anyone.  They are holding responsible parties responsible....  Good for them!

My realtor CJHolmes is trying desperately to wake people up to the way the banks are stealing people's homes right here in the US. I admire her spirit but none of the big news stations will touch the story. Why?
The banksters ( her term) own them, too.

So in summary of the Icelandic revolution:
-resignation of the whole government
-nationalization of the bank.
-referendum so that the people can decide over the economic decisions.
-incarcerating the responsible parties
-rewriting of the constitution by its people

Have we been informed of this through the media?
Has any political program in radio or TV commented on this?
No!
The Icelandic people have been able to show that there is a way to beat the system and has given a democracy lesson to the world.
