The Debate About Yucca Mountain

As we all now no body this stuff in there backyard, but the federal government has spent so much money this project before they found out it really isn't a safe local. Now they are trying to by the state off. I wonder is money really the object? Honestly I will just a memory long before anything could hurt me....or maybe not it still has to be transported here. Hey how about we dig a whole in your back and store a little there too.

I understood that you were perturbed about this situation, as would any of us be, if this were happening in our back yard.

No I did not know this but I will from now on. Was just perturbed, had just watched Governor Sandoval on TV saying he was going to oppose it.

I'm not a fan of the Yucca Mountain Project for a lot of reasons but primarily it is because of its proximity to Las Vegas.  I don't see much good coming from the project.

I had a friend who was doing a lot of work to the the project at Yucca Mountain.  She wouldn't come out right and say it, but it sure looks like there is a lot of money involved for a lot of different people.  I do know that she made real good money doing the things she did (lobbying for the project, and subsequently moved after the project was awarded to Yucca Mountain).
