Yes, I'm glad he is leading at a time in which people need him.
For what? Coming out on camera and saying the right thing to say? Or was he supposed to say, Hey federal agencies just screw around and do what you can, no worries???
That is exactly what should be happening. And a leader would be doing everything he could to abolish all of the red tape that stands in the way of government progress. No politician is doing that..... this is a verbal attempt to do that, but the processes of getting funding need to be streamlined.
It is about re-doing government and that isn't happening. It hasn't happened ever, I don't think.
The way government works is slightly antiquated and it takes an event like this, and taking a look at the underbelly of government red tape to actually see where we can make improvements.
Bless us all..... we are in for it if this stuff does not change.
Oh just give him his kudos....
Hollow words from an empty suit. Why did he have to say those words in front of a camera? Think about it, it was not for the federal agencies it was a campaign event.
During a visit to the Red Cross headquarters in Washington, D.C., this afternoon, Obama sent a very clear message to federal agencies.
"Do not figure out why we can't do something. I want you to figure out how we do something," the president said. "I want you to cut through red tape. I want you to cut through bureaucracy. There's no excuse for inaction at this point. I want every agency to lean forward and to make sure that we are getting the resources where they need -- where they're needed as quickly as possible."
Now this is a leader!!
