5min diagnosis

hi i have never had anything wrong with my teeth but last week i had bad headaches, for two days n on day three my jaw felt tight and on my lower jaw, my last tooth was sensitive. i went to my dentist n in 5 minutes by tapping on my teeth he diagnosed i have an infection inside but the infection isn't visible. i was prescribed amoxicillin n motrin for two weeks. on the third week he decided to remove my top n bottom tooth on either side. should i be worried.

it sounds to me like you are not clear as to why these teeth need to be removed and why you have discomfort. I always advise patients not to preceed with any dental treatment (or medical for that matter) unless the understand why they need it, and unless they understand the risks, benefits and alternatives of such treatment. If you cannot get this from your dentist, even though the plan of treatment may be correct, you should still then get another opinion so you are clear on what is being done to you.

Also, try a bruxism splint as you may be clenching your teeth causing the jaw tightness and sensitive teeth.  If they are wisdom teeth, take them out.  If not, a second opinion would be good for peace of mind.  If the bruxism splint stops the pain by day 5, you need a nightguard or dentist made bruxism splint, and may not need the extraction.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
I am assuming that these were wisdom teeth. I am also assuming that x-rays were taken before the teeth were extracted. If this was the case I don't think there is anything to worry about. If not I would consider getting another opinion.
