Dental treatment.

Had absess over a large bridge and went to dentist and she drained the absess and put me on Amoxicilin finished the table and the absess has come back but bigger, the dentist also sent me to the dential hospital for treatment but they said that they will not be able to treatment for this.  I will be contacting my dentist next week as I now feel ill with this and need to have it treated.  Root canel treatment need to be done but dentist says it is too long a procedure for them to do under NHS.

What can I do until next Monday when hopefully I will be able to get it treated.

Thanks for reply,
Been back to dentist and she knows how bad the abscess is, she referred me to hospital and am waiting to see the consultant to see if I qualify for treatment,   The reason my dentist sends me to hospital is because I have osteoporosis and due to the treatment that I was given for it she will not do any extraction.

He abscess is above a large bridge and I want to keep the bridge as I cannot wear dentures whch would makes me feel ill. I am hoping that they will be able to go about the bridge and do any root cannel treatment that will be needed.    Dentist said that she will not prescribe any more antibiotics for me she said that too much antibiotics would not be good for me.

Hi,

thanks for query. You need to take a course of antibiotics again. Along with that please analgesic that will reduce pain and swelling both. Treatment is a  must. Take soft diet, more of liquids and take care while brushing.

Wishing you good health.
