Dry Socket cause all this pain?

2 weeks ago today I had my two front teeth removed and got a temporary bridge. I started getting really bad headaches say 3 and now it;s wordsened so bad that I am dizzy and have chills. The Headaches are the worst pain, I want to put a belt around my head. So I went into my Dentist yesterday and was told, that I have dry socket. he took 3 seconds with me, and said did I ever think of going to my Regular Doctor for a sinus problem? that was it, he walked out. there was no meds, no compassion. no paper on how to care for Dry Socket? I cant get into my Dr until tommorrow. so here I sit with all the chills and pain in my face and head until tommorrow. I did not have this before my teeth were pulled, he made me feel stupid that I even went in to take this problem to him. He never gave me antibiotics or pain meds. in the first place and now coming to him barely able to drive myself I get this non compassionate reaction. My question is, should I trust him? is this normal? will it heal on it's own? or could this be serious and should I see my own Dr about this? She will probably be shocked that the dentist did nothing for me and send me back anyways...WWJD?

Dry socket rarely occurs in anterior socket. If your problems do come from extraction site infection, systemic administration of antibiotics and mouth rinse trice daily can eliminate infection . Taking Tylenol and Advil together can yield best pain control. Temporary  bridge may  create pain due to occlusal interference.cessation of smoking and alcohol consumption is advised.

A dry socket is a hole in the bone where the tooth has been removed. After a tooth is pulled, a blood clot forms in the socket to protect the bone and nerves underneath. Sometimes that clot can become dislodged or dissolve a couple of days after the extraction. That leaves the bone and nerve exposed to air, food, fluid, and anything else that enters the mouth. This can lead to infection and severe pain that can last for 5 or 6 days.

My oral surgeon refused to give me medication for it as well. He did some kind of medication on it to help the pain though. I don't think they will prescribe addicting pain meds anymore. At least that is becoming my experience. They would rather see you primary care doctor prescribe heavy meds. I suffered for about 3 weeks with pain and no pain meds. I ended up with nerve damage. My oral surgeon wouldn't acknowledge that either. If you read my post from today, you'll see it took me two years to have my nerve damage confirmed. The reason being that I not only had nerve damage where the tooth was extracted but the top tooth has been effected too. I really sinks how we're treated today, like cash cows. Where the humanity???
