Fully Erupted Wisdom Tooth

Hi, I only have upper wisdom teeth, none on the lower. My two upper ones are fully erupted and are the same length as all of the other teeth back there. They have never gave me any problems, but my dentist recommends to get them out while I am young, and told me he could pull them in his office. I thought it would be better to go to an oral surgeon, since they specialize in it,  which I did today, and this guy was wanting to put me to sleep and all this saying my insurance would pay for it, but I told him I didn't want any of that, then he said he could do it with just Novocaine. I asked if there would be no cutting on my gums, and he said he always makes an incision so he could "get a better hold on them" .

I'm definately not going to let this oral surgeon pull these teeth, but my question is if wisdom teeth are fully erupted, is it necessary to make an incision in the gums to get them out?

yea the third molar root are larger then the others, and most likely they wil break the tooth in half and then remove it.... its really no big deal

i wouldnt get put to sleep, espically if they are out of the gums, no need, it will be quick and the dentist will use lidocane and numb you up well

Incision around a tooth causes no pain and promotes hemostasis and wound healing under local  or general anesthesia.
