Help please! Do I have cancer??

I recently had a severe tooth infection with cellulitis in my left face/jaw. I caused the left half of my chin to go numb.  I had 4 teeth removed by an oral surgeon 3 months ago. I was left with a large lump in my jaw and still have very little feeling in my left chin. I had a CT scan done that said there was "nonspecific soft tissue prominence" in my jaw. I returned to my oral surgeon with this information and he said it was just "extra fat". This doesn't sound right. The mass seems to be spreading in a thin line across the front of my chin to the right side of my jaw. I can also see white mass beneath the skin inside my mouth.
Do I have cancer?  Should I be worried?

There is an enlargement of soft tissue, which may not be pathological, or, it can be variation of normal anatomy.
