Tooth extraction about 30 hrs ago.

Hi, I had my Number 3 tooth taken out, molar on the upper right, and the Dr. told me that bleed that day is normal but i can't recall if he said it would still bleed the day after.

Anyways, My question is, Is bleeding normal the day after?? i'd assume maybe some pinkish on the gauze and in saliva,  But occasionally it looks a bit of a darker red, is that normal??  I worry way to much for my own good so i'm hoping that's what it is.

Also, how can i tell if everything is going right?? I'm freaking out about getting a dry socket, but that doesn't seem to be any sort of a problem.  When i look at where the tooth was it looks a bit blackish and red, its kind of hard to see.

Wound site is not brushed for 7 days.I generally do'nt recommend the use of mouth rinse, unless mechanical cleaning is not feasible. Cession of cigarette smoking is advised.

Well it hasn't bled since what was in my mouth this morning, I've rinsed with warm saltwater quite a few times and have been drinking lukewarm tea, so far so good.  Everything else seems fine to me so far, no pains, a little swelling in the gum above it and a slight throbbing pain that comes and goes.

Another question, When will it be fine to brush my teeth and use mouthwash?? It's now been about 60 hrs and I'm sure by the time someone sees this post it will have been 72. I'm also a smoker and haven't had a cigarette since the extraction, Is 3 days enough time to have waited or should i wait longer??

Ok, I'll have to take that into consideration.  It's now going on 48 hours and when i woke up this morning there was some blood in my mouth, but not a ton.  I don't have to have a gauze in there i can go without because the blood is minimal...  It seems like the bleeding has slowed down quite a bit and i have been rinsing with saltwater to speed things up.

And yes this is my first extraction so i don't know how it would usually go.  Also, how should i go about brushing my teeth?? should i use toothpaste and Mouthwash this early on?? or just stick with scrubbing and saltwater??

It appears that you have minor defect of blood coagulation. You may need to see a hematologist to rule out potential bleeding disorder. Dry socket is rarely associated with upper molar extraction.
