Not in a healthy person. Many people encounter this but recover within a minute at the longest. People who have had major surgery, been sedated, and lying for long periods of time don't take this long to recover from the rise in blood pressure.
actually a severe rise in blood pressure can take a considerable time to correct itself and that in combination with being reclined (this is not a sleeping position your body is accustomed to) can cause you to become dizzy.
Unless you pass out everytime you wake up in the morning, it had nothing to do with being reclined for a long period. If it were a blood pressure issue, you would have felt dizzy/lighheaded immediately upon standing, and would have felt fine within 30 seconds. I can't explain what happened, but I'm sure the novacaine was not laced with anything.
no. it was probably a blood pressure issue from stress and being reclined for a period of time.
