I would be concerned that the swelling is still present. It is possible that a different antibiotic is necessary. I think you need to see the dentist asap.
Just a helpful hint to deal with the pain until you get to the dentist with the holiday weekend and all. I've been through alot of dental infections, pain, medications etc. with my teeth for the past couple of years. If you have some sort of ice pack, hold it on the affected area as long as you can stand the cold. Also, rinsing with Listerine (no other's will do) acts as a topical analgesic and won't burn your mouth like Anbesol etc. I've used it several times a day and it makes the pain subside for an hour or two. Hope this helps and 'I know what you are going through' and hope you get some relief very soon.
you should not be getting worse, and swelling in the neck can be dangerous. You need to brig your situation to the attention of the dentist who teated you, and you should see an endodontist if you have not already
