teeth whitening kits

Obviously, the first answer is: You best bet is to go to a dentist and pay for it. But, Im a student with a part time job and quite simply cant afford it.

What are you reccomendations on this? Is it safe? Which is the best probduct?

I have no problems with my teeth, apart from the fact they are slightly yellow.

If your teeth are "yellow," it could mean that the enamel of your teeth is slowly being stripped away and the yellow dentin underneath your enamel is slowly being exposed.

Soda/fizzy drinks, citrus drinks, foods with vinegar, or anything acidic in general can and will dissolve your tooth enamel.

I would not use those teeth whitening kits.  Hydrogen peroxide is corrosive.  People should be more concerned with keeping there enamel intact regardless as to whether or not they believe it is "stained."

Also, I should add I had chipped my top insisor before, and has a crown. I realise this is very unlikly to get whitened also, but will this also cause any difficulty?

PS - The cap fell off before and I could eat without it on, without any pain (The tooth isnt dead tough).
