Antidepressants

I've been feeling very depressed for a while now due to some medical issues I'm going through. I was thinking about asking my doctor about anti-depressants, but I don't want to be on medication for the rest of my life.  If I start anti-depressants, will I have to take them forever?

I have a friend who takes antidepressants and like you she was worried about having to take them forever. She got to the point to where she would try anything to help with her depression. After getting put on the medication she became a whole other person she was out going and full of life. After not talking the medication for a few days she decided she would much rather be the person she is on the medication than the person she is off it. I hope this helps with your decision.
