Could I be Depressed?

Good morning or evening or day or night or afternoon ladies and gentlemen and whassup. My name is Hamed Khatiz and I am a sixteen year old student, writer, drummer, adviser, hero, Superman, friend, former friend and many more from Sydney. I am about to show you a few posts which I have written both here and in other communities.

The reason is because I have been told as a result to many of these questions that I could have Depression. A man mentioned mental illness and a former professional psychologist with over a decade of experience in the field said I could have low level Depression. What do you think? Here they are:

How do you find Motivation?- MedHelp Social Community- March 16, 2012:

"Good morning or evening or day or night or afternoon ladies and gentlemen and whassup. My name is Hamed Khatiz and I am a sixteen year old student, writer, drummer, adviser and many more from Sydney. My main message however is about the student part.

I used to be an early riser, waking up energetic, nearly hypo every morning. I would be jumping and buzzing waiting for everyone else to wake up. Now I am early waker but cannot find the energy to get out of bed. One more hour won't hurt. I would wake naturally at 4:45am and then wake up at 7:15am, leaving at 8:30am to 9am and being at least an hour late for school.

I got a lecture from my principal about why I was missing so many classes. In six weeks, zero unexplained absenses turned into eight. I am completely missing classes sometimes, arriving at school at 10:00am sometimes when I used to arrive at 7:30 and have to arrive by 8:20.

How do you leave this form slump? I am demotivated when it was only last season, I was more awake than most of my teachers. How do you find the motivation to get up and stay awake because I miss walking to school with my friends on the 8:00am train instead of catching the 9:40am full of not so nice people with brown paper bags over alcohol bottles looking to see whether any of my friends are on the platform."

Mental Pictures- Depression Community- Febuary 22, 2012.

"Just saw my good friend unconcious. One moment she is in my arms and the next moment she is on the bathroom floor alongside my other friend and blocked by the principal telling me to move away. How do you get the mental pictures out of your head? The pictures of an injured and badly bleeding friend on a stretcher.

I only saw her asleep for a matter of seconds and I haven't heard from her since. Help. :'("

Even to this day, 4.5 weeks later, I still get flashbacks of this incident and another she was involved in two days earlier.

Could I have low level Depression coming from those two posts. Thanks, Khatiz.

It's a possibility that you could have some depression going on by reading your posts. We are not Drs though and can not diagnose you. Were there any changes before you started feeling more tired? Like your eating and sleeping habits? I'm asking if you're eating enough and getting to bed at the same time you used to? You're still in school so I take it you have a school counselor. Why don't you make an appointment to see him/her? Tell your counselor how you have been feeling. Can you easily speak to your parents? If so, talk to them. I would recommend going to your Dr to start with to have a full check up. If everything is alright then think about seeing a counselor. We're here to listen and help you anyway we can, okay.
