Hi, I don't know much about theedical side of things so I'm just talking from experience. The cuttig has to stop, it doesnt achieve anything. I realise now that I was doing it cause I. thought i deserved it. And total confusion as to what was going on. A lot of people are sceptical about depression at your age. Say 'its a phase' or 'its just hormones'. Even so if its making you cut and contemplate suicide, its got to be serious and needs resolving. I never spoke to anyone about it for years. Not even friends. My advice, dont bottle it up. I hope your3 feeling better soon, its hard at your age. Just keep your head up and talk to people!

Yes, you need counseling. Also, there are some things you can do for the cutting. One is to get rid of the knife. I know that's hard but you need to do it. Here are two ideas for you. When you want to cut, mark on your arm with a red marker (temporary, not permanent) or hold ice where you would have cut. These interventions fill the need to see the blood or feel discomfort and relief.
You really need to talk to your parents about what's going on. If you feel like you can't talk to them see your school counselor. Is there a reason your feeling so depressed and cutting yourself? There could be several different reasons, I understand that. And that's why counseling could really help you. Please speak to your parents or school counselor very soon.
