Effexor Withdrawl

I have cut down on my Effexor from 150mg XR to 75mg XR. I now want to quit completely. I have taken this drug for 10 years with no serious side-effects, but past efforts to quit have resulted in "Brain Shivers" and overall malaise. I have always gotten back on after only a few days off the drug. This time I want to stay off the drug. I am concurrently taking Wellbutrin. I would appreciate any help/support anyone can give to make this withdrawl process successful this time. Thanks

You should taper off this med under your docs instructions. Ween off gradually is usually the best method. Why take chances with coming off too quickly. Let the doc decide if now is the time to come off and which method to use.
