Hope of recovery

Hello
I had some depression in childhood and a milder dose at age 19 that lasted a year.
6 years ago I fell very ill with severe depression at age 41.  I have been on two different types of anti psychotic (very low dose) along with with effexor or Cymbalta
I just want to tell everyone that you can recover.
I stopped my final medication during the 2nd week of September. At that stage I was only taking a fraction of a pill every second day.  I really felt after 6 weeks without drugs, that I might relapse (I tried before) but it was all part of the withdrawal and mimicked the original illness.

I am doing great, feel great and life is good.  I am just so happy to be away from the side effects and I am managing my life really well.  I have a good job and four kids, alone and we are having a really good Holiday Season.

Do not give up, you can recover.

I will check out your blog.
I tried every alternative approach, herbs, supplements etc. Over the six years, I tried it all.
What really helped me was my iphone !

Yes my phone, I use APS for meditation every day, remaining positive and ensuring deep sleep.  It is the only crutch i need, and acceptance of myself and challenging work, I focus out, not into myself.
