Increasing Sertraline tablets

I was on 20mg of Fluoxetine but it wasn't making me feel any better so I got put on 50 mg of Sertraline. On the packet it says that I have to increase to taking two tablets after two weeks of taking one.
Even though I'm only taking one, I still feel extremely tired and I've begun sleeping much more than I should and it's made me late for college (I'm 17). If this is the case, should I still increase it to two tablets?

Thanks! :)

hi I started off on 50mg for 10days then upped to 100mg now been 3 week on Friday and the side effects are slowly easing it does take time for ur body to adjust but stick with it, I was on 40mg of fluoxetine for 5 weeks until I knew they weren't doing anything for me iv been on and off tablets for 7 years but I'm sticking with these long term now as I feel they are slowly doing the job, i have days where I'm tired even after having 8+ hours sleep, what time of day are u taking the 50mg? I take 100mg in the morning 8am and find I'm a little tired come dinner but push through and it eases up as the day goes on. I know one of the side effects are tiredness it just all depends on the person and how well u tolerate it, uv just got to trial it and see what works best for you :o) of u want any more info private message me and I will reply as best as I can x

Hi I've been on Sertraline tablets for over a year now as the other one i was on didnt seem to work, i take one tablet a day as recommended by my Dr. These tablets do make you feel drowsy most of the time especially when you start taking them.
best to check with your dr
