Is it ok to take a xanax?
Today I am feeling a little depressed and Ina funk, my mind is racing for some reason, I get days like this. I take 150mg of effoxor is it ok to take a small dose of xanax to try to relax my mind? What are your thoughts?
The dr said I could take together but will it help? Is it common dfor there to be good days and bad days
There isn't hard data available regarding the interactions of these two drugs. The [published data suggests that the mechanism of action of Effoxor is not known and the statistical evidence suggests that the effect on depression is open to question. Xanax alone has been around for a long, long time, but is now tightly controlled. Years ago this was not the case. Xanax alone (without other meds) has an excellent safety history, and it is unfortunate that physicians are discouraged from making the prescription by DEA regulations and pressure. The biggest danger is respiratory depression. Since both drugs are prescription, ask the prescribing physician.
