What's going on?!

I'm 15 and I started to feel depressed. I talked to my mom about it and she just said it could just be hormones. But it doesn't seem like it to me. I always feel like crying and get scared for no particular reason and it scares me. I don't get what's happening? Someone please help!:(

I have major depressive disorder, and I would like to say you aren't alone :) it may be hormonal issues, but it may be depression. You should talk to your doctor. He can prescribe you medication to help and run blood tests

It could be your hormones because some teens do go through depression and anxiety. I do think it would be a good idea for your mom to take you in for a check up. They may want to do some testing like blood work to make sure you're not deficient on any vitamins or minerals. They may also want to check your thyroid to see if your levels are alright.
If everything checks out okay then it might be time to see a therapist to find out why you're feeling depressed and anxious.
