Crying over little things

Hi,
I'm an adult 25 years old female, yet I seem to cry over small things. This caused tension with my last relationship due to fact I would cry over little things and my ex felt like he had to walk on egg shells. For example, I wanted my ex to do something with me and when I found out he had other plans sometimes I would cry..... Silly things such as this. I want to fix this, for me.  Am I depressed or is there something else going on. Also I'm not sure what forum this should go under. I am not sure what is going on?  I know I've always been somewhat emotional but for most of my life I have been able to control it. However within the last two years or so I've been overly emotional crying. I do not want to ruin more relationships due to this.

I am only 12 years old but whenever someone tells me I have done something wrong or when my parents get annoyed with me or someone says or does something mean as a joke it makes me cry. It's always just the little things that upset me and my family always tease me for being soft and crying over what they think is nothing but to me it's like it's a really big deal and it just makes me really upset. I have seen on the Internet and it keeps saying that I might have depression or anxiety but I don't know if I do. Please could you help me

Obviously I can not disagnose you (Not a Psychiatrist) and even if I was the internet would not be the proper forum in which to attempt such a thing.

On the other hand I can give you some advice, since I am a long time sufferer of severe depression.

First... Don't jump to conclusions. Just because you get frustrated at times and have fits of crying, is not in itself an indicator that your suffering from a depressive dissorder.

Second, it would help if you could respond back with exactly what symptoms your experiencing that lead you to beleive that your suffering from a Major clinical depression.

It's not abnormal for anyone to get emotional about relationship troubles. This kind of trouble can often result in frustration that leads to crying and outbursts.

As a Man I can tell you that just because us guys have other plans that don't involve you, does not mean that we do not love you or want to be with you. Trust me WE LOVE YOU! We just occasionally need to be with the guys to hang out alone. Don't take it personnaly. I know it may seem like we're up to no good, but in reality it's usually just harmless guy fun.

Try not to worry too much about if he wants a little time alone with his friends. Us Men are pretty predictable and if he was really cheating around, then trust me you would know it.
