Trazodone Question

Doc prescribed 2 100 mg Trazodone for sleep and depression as well as anxiety. I split and took 25 mg for 2 nites. Not much help. Took 50 mg last nite and woke up in a fog. Had to look at cell to see what day it is. And a stuffy nose all nite. It's mid day and I feel better and I am not depressed.
So, the question is ... Do you think I should stay on the 25 mg longer before uping it, or take the 50 mg and the bad side effects will be better later.
How much do I need for good sleep and anti-depression?

I also took a .25 Xanax at bed time last nite as I have been doing for a long time.

No hurry, but would be good if I could have some advice before bedtime tonite.

Thank you for your concern :)  I have been off Xanax for a long time but I still cannot take it because it would cause it to start again.  Good luck with the Passion Flower.

I'm sure you already know the zanax causes depression.
I am not depressed today because I started with the cup of coffee with the Passion Flower in it. Just finished another one.
The Trazadone would not have helped this soon.

Thanks, I will do that. Sorry about the Xanax addiction. You probably know that too much makes Willie uncooperative.
I've cut down from several zanax a day to 1 or 2 using Passion Flower. I empty a capsule into cup and add coffee or sometimes just warm water. Mixes better in a warm drink.
I got it from All Star Health. I use a lot of their Stevia and so shipping not so bad along with that. Their standard shipping is $5.99 so mite be cheaper for you to get it at your local herb shop. You can get it loose and make it like tea.
And of course you could just swallow the capsule. I got the Now brand as I have found  their stuff to be good.

I had the same side effects when I first started taking it.  I am not a dr so I will just give you my opinion.  25 mg would not work for me and the side effects you felt should go away pretty quick so I think 50 would be good for now.  Also be careful with the xaxax.  (Just had to say it because I am an addict)>
