high cortisol levels?

Has anyone developed high cortisol levels with depression.  I have been sick for months and my cortisol levels are high but nothing else can be found.  they are checking me for cushings disease.  i have no pituitary or adrenal tumor though.  Just wondering if anyone here went through this?

Have you found out anything more on this?  For several months my medicine for depression has not worked.  We have tried new.  But I Sam having anxiety and panic attacks during the prime high level times (morning to afternoon).  I can barely function and sedatives barely help. I am taking  4 - 5 mg of clonazepam over the course of the day, plus other hypocritical for stress.

I've read there is or can be a coorelation with high cortisone levels and depression.  I think the issue is which may be a cause of which.   I think Cushings is the first thing drs will look at.  And I'm not sure there is ALWAYS a related tumor.  I'd have that checked completely.
