There are a lot of things you can do. Eating a good quality diet with limited chemical additives and low fat helps (some people find going gluten free helps). Exercise and flax oil, plus B vitamins, are useful as well. But please don't let fear stop you from trying meds if you need them. They aren't as bad as the fear-mongers like to make them seem. I personally think I'd be dead right now if not for my antidepressant.

This happens when we have pent up anger.  We don't know why we have it and it usually gets directed at those closest to us.  Certainly not fair to them...but you can't help it.  I suggest you get into therapy to determine where the anger and mood swings are coming from.  Often it is something traumatic from our past which we never truly dealt with and may have even forgotten about.  Once you learn what it is, you can deal with it and ease your anger and mood swings.  Don't just see any doctor regarding this, you want to see a psychiatrist for an evaluation and he can also refer you to the proper therapist. Should you at any time need medication to help with this....a psychiatrist is most knowledgeable with the medication used to treat these symptoms.  I think therapy would benefit you greatly and hopefully you can conquer this without medication.  I hope this helps and wish you all the best!

Suggest you talk to your Doc. there are options & you can't  be made to do what you don't want to do. If it gets worse, then don't delay in seeking help. Have you no friends that you can trust/talk it over with?
