Have you had your testosterone level checked? It just takes a simple blood screen. I had mine checked and found it was very low. Just started testo. replacement, but I am beginning to feel much better. Good Luck!
Hi there,
You say you don't want to take meds. Is that because of the experiences you list? If so rest assured every med is different and does not cause the problems you describe.
No guarantees though as we all seem to react differently to the same product.
No signs of depression or anxiety? Wrong. I can read both in your post. Firstly you were prescribed an antoi depressant, so you were diagnosed as depressed. Full stop. Accept it and worj from there, no point denying whats already proven is there?
Can't take a deep breath on a regular basis? Well neither can I and haven't been able to for quite some years. I shallow breathe and it's mainly because I was a smoker for 35 years and now, having given up, I'm overweight. I don't see it as a problem at all as I know how to fix it. Lose weight and get fit. But I'm not going to, it's not my priority.
Sam E and St John's? Don't waste your time, money and effort. Go see a normal doctor and get a physical first and then address the depression and anxiety issues. Start from basics and don't jump to conclusions about what may simply be one symptom.
You are definitely depressed! You need to find the right medication for you, there are a lot of good ones out there, but it sounds like you've had a couple of bad experiences and are now afraid of them. Don't be. Go back to your doctor and start over by telling him your experiences thus far. Anytime you start on an anti-depression medication you may feel a little odd at first, but NEVER hesitate to call your doctor and ask him about it, and if you should continue taking it, etc. This time ask before leaving his office what you can expect in the beginning, and what would not be normal. These meds need several weeks to actually build up in your system to where they work correctly. Then you may still have to have the dosage changed, depending on how you are doing. Work closely with your doctor on this at all times, don't just stop the medication abruptly, which is dangerous. Your crying is a BIG red flag of depression. If you would feel better, find another doctor to work with, but get help, somehow with the meds. There is no need for you to live your life like this, as I wouldn't even be around today if it weren't for the medication to help me cope.
You say no signs of depression, yet your crying all the time?
There are many symptoms of major depression and that is one of many.
When you say you can't take a deep breath, do you mean that your chest feels tight?
Anxiety can cause a type of hyper ventalation that can make it feel like your not getting enough air.
Have you read the diagnosis charts for signs of depression and anxiety dissorder? If so how many of those symptoms do you match?
