Bob is giving you good advice lina.
We know exactly how frightining the feelings of fear, doom, and overwhelming hopelessness can be. We know the feelings are so powerful that death can even seem like a welcome relief for us.
The good news is that there is hope and you can feel normal again.
To get back your freedom you MUST take the first few steps yourself.
Somehow you must get professional treatment. This will not just go away on it's own.
I first got treatment by calling a suicide hotline. Most of the people answering these phones are former sufferers themselves. They have contacts and can get you help even with no insurance. This is what they do, let them do it. Make that call.
Dear lina,
I am not a psychologist, just a person who has experienced depression. I'm sorry you are feeling this way.
The best thing you can do is talk about what you are feeling with someone, ideally a psychologist or other mental health professional. They can advise you as to how to proceed with talk therapy or possibly even antidepressant medication.
There are sometimes low-cost options available since (I am assuming) you do not have health insurance. You can often find these by doing a little digging in the phone book or internet. You might ask your clergyman, if you have one, or your doctor for a referral.
If you are thinking about suicide it is time to take some action. Good luck to you.
