I was taking 200 mg a day for  a mood stabilizer and lost my insurance so I had to stop taking them because $350 for is alot even for a very effective medication. :-)

Hi,

Mammo is spot on. Med has to change as the current one ain't working. The therapy sounds like it found something that needed finding and yes, it's good for you alright.

Just one thing is Seroquel, if that's the med prescribed, is for bi polar or schizophrenia. In your case, having depression treatment it would be for bi polar. Ask the doctor for a full diagnosis if you aren't aware of this as you need to know. Also why you aren't being given a mood stabiliser such as Lithium, or like.

Read here on Seroquel :

I am bp2 and take a small Seruquel dose at night to help me sleep mainly. It sure helps, knocks me right out so take care with when you take this one. It's supposed to ba taken at night and the sleep effect is why.

If the Zoloft is not working, then yes, you need to switch medications. Most of us have had to switch until we find the one that works, and then you'll be happy you did. Your breakdown although exhausting, was very good for you.  You released a lot of pent up emotion which you needed to do.  Hang in there........
