I have been given topamax to take.I take 40 mg citalopram. My research shows that this can cause serotonin syndrome.
Please advise.

Thanks. You are probably right and I'm just worrying.
The neurolist, doc and pharmacist have had a hand in it.
Will keep an eye on it thoughxxx

If neither your neurologist and pharmacist (assuming you use the same pharmacist for every medication) had any red flags when reviewing your medications for interactions, it's probably fine at the doses you are taking.

However, if you have concerns, see if you can call your pharmacist or neurologist and ask how high the risk is and if they will be doing anything to monitor you to ensure you don't develop serotonin syndrome.

This forum is not typically frequented by doctors as it's a community forum.
