see you doctor immediately. this is an alarming drop in weight..... definitely see someone to get tested for everything... good luck, keep in touch
Bear13 is right, weight loss is common with severe depression (I've lost more than 70lbs in 18months, but that's because I lost my appetite and couldn't eat. It can't be normal to be eating more and losing weight...what about thyroid? best of luck
Excessive weight loss accompanied by ravenous hunger (am I right in thinking that you're currently eating a lot?) can sometimes indicate an overactive thyroid, which can also cause psychological symptoms. See your doctor asap because it can be dangerous if left untreated.
You definitely need to be seen by an MD. I've never lost that much weight, but I have become underweight a few times. One was just stress about getting married, one was a medication reaction, and the last time was because my gallbladder was full of stones. With the GB problem I also had nausea and vomiting and nonhealing skin wounds from malnutrition.
Did you know that diabetes can cause weight loss? Certain thyroid problems, as somebody else mentioned. Whatever the cause, it seems like you could have malnutrition, and depression is one of the side effects of malnutrition. Get seen soon.
