You've been through a really rough patch to say the least. You said you have been "mostly" faithful with sythroid, you cannot miss a day at all, it's a body regulating hormone. When were you prescribed the Lexapro? It can take 6-8 weeks, BUT even on the label it states if you have any thoughts of suicide, go to your local hospital. This isn't something that's a toothache, there may be a physiolgical cause, and the best place to get some quck answers is going to the ER. It would be relief to know it's something that can be fixed right?
Here's an emergency link if you are actively considering suicide, it's got ph# for hotlines in many countries. It's completely anonymous,

In studies Synthroid treats bipolar depression and is used for that purpose. Lexapro is of course a standard anti-depressent. But something is either worsening the depression or not working. Speak to your psychiatrist about it. Ask them what's going on and they can determine whether its something physical, a medication side effect or the medications not working. But do speak to them about it and perhaps they should consult with the doctor who is prescribing the synthroid as well. If you are taking other medications than these two list them because each medication has its own set of side effects but in general one of those twoyou mentioned might help depression and the other is meant to treat it.
