ANYTHING NEW FOUND OUT ABOUT CIRCULAR SORES

I ALSO GET THESE CIRCULAR SORES ON MY FACE.  I HAVE DEVELOPED THIS PROBLEM FOR ABOUT 3-4 YEARS NOW.  THEY RESEMBLE A CIGARETTE BURN AND FEEL LIKE A CIGARETTE BURN.  WHEN I FIRST GET THEM THEY OOZE OUT CLEAR LIQUID FOR A LONG TIME AND THEY TAKE FOREVER TO HEAL.  THEY ARE NOT ITCHY BUT PAINFUL AND I DO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH COLD SORES QUITE OFTEN AND WONDER IF THESE ARE RELATED.  DERMATOLOGISTS SAY A FORM OF LUPUS OR ROSACEA WHICH  I DOUBT.    I HAVE AT LEAST 20 DIFFERENT TUBES OF CREAMS AND NONE ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING..  THEY EVENTUALLY HEAL AND WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS A COUPLE MORE START COMING OUT.
I HEAR OF MORE AND MORE PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH NO ANSWER AS TO WHAT THEY ARE OR WHAT CAUSES THEM

This discussion is related to unknown deep circular sores?.

Hi, I'm in the UK and have suffered with this problem since 1986. You can imagine that after all these years - most of my skin is ruined. At least all the lesions have never opened up all at once or I would have killed myself. Instead it has been an endless trial and I am covered in either white or darker skin coloured scars. I have just started thinking about leaky gut and a stone age diet - because after all the years of fear and loss of control over my own body - I have at least 2 autoimmune diagnoses, one for my skin and one for my thyroid. They don't really know and "Functional or Holistic Medicine" is pretty much considered fruit loop by our National Health system...either that or they know what it is an wish we would all just die because the "System" is unsustainable. Anyway I am not done yet - we are here to deal with our life challenges and I shall go out fighting - and there is plenty of that needs doing to get our beautiful little planet whole again. All the best every peeps :)

Dmavrik,

Angel1202 wasn't being sarcastic. You misunderstood her.

"Mental disorder" doesn't mean a disease is all in your head. It just means that doctors can't figure out where it comes from or how to cure it.

If doctors can't figure out why you have skin lesions, or how to cure the lesions, but you continue to complain about the lesions, doctors will diagnose you with a mental disorder for complaining.

If you believe the skin lesions are caused by a parasite or an infectious agents, and doctors can't find any parasite or infectious agent, they will diagnose you with psychosis. It doesn't mean you were wrong; it just means the doctors couldn't find the cause or a cure.

You will learn this firsthand when your case becomes too expensive for your insurance company, and they pressure your doctor to stop administering expensive tests, and they pressure him to prescribe you psychiatric medicine instead, so they can write "case-closed" in their books. That way, if you try to sue them for malpractice, you will lose and they will win. In court, they will tell the judge and jury, "We looked for a physical cause, we ran tests, but we found nothing, so the disease was a mental disorder." That's how the medical profession works under the law (in the U.S. at least), and that's why when you Google "Morgellons Disease", you find medical professionals calling applying the label "mental illness" to a physical condition which you may likely have.

People with the circular sores exhibit a dangerous but strong reaction to the drug Albendazole. This drug is used to treat parasitic worm infections. When people with the circular sores take Albendazole, it causes a strong but dangerous reaction. After 2 or 3 days of taking the medicine, there can be loss of consciousness and severe confusion, so it's not safe to continue. But it indicates that the Albendazole is having an effect, whereas Albendazole in normal people causes no reaction. The dangerous effects may be side-effects of parasites dying off and releasing toxins into the patient as they die off.

Albendazole could be a cure, if it were included in a comprehensive therapy which controlled the side-effects. But just taking straight Albendazole without controlling the side-effects, would be dangerous.

When your insurance company pulls the plug on you, and your doctor stops running tests and tells you that your condition is mental, and you know he's full of it, consider this info.

This started happening to me about 2006, first started on my legs. Small tiny skin popping up and upon scratching it or picking at it, a small deep hole appears, at times, really can bleed. I try to let them heal up but I have been swimming/water exercise for my fibro/cfs issues and the water just takes off any scab that has formed. Also water seems to swell up those tiny skins of popping out and one sunny day I saw one on my foot and wiped it with my towel and the deep hole appeared. I see now that even if I didn't pick or scratch it, it comes off itself one way or another.. It freaks me out and yeah been tested for LYME 2 times some say I need to use an Ingnex testing lab they are the best to track LYME. I wonder if its something I am allergic too in food or air borne. I have became very will since 2007-2008 with fibro symptoms and chronic fatigue. I sure wish someone out there could help me.. Im slowly having my life fad away, I fight hard to keep my head above water, but its so depressing, if it was not for my online support I would be lost.. family does not understand about any of my issues, some think I bring it on myself, yeah, those deep round holes are all in my head? Umm sure.

I hope since so much time has passed you are free of those pesky/no reason round craters. If so, please tell me what you did to get rid of them and how you have kept them from returning. I have them intermittently on body, they seem to just "sprout" but never just one, starts with 2 or more in  "groups". Just out of nowhere.  I really felt for you and hope all is better.

I was fortunate enough to get a diagnosis after years and years of scarring.  Even though I don't "pick" at them, they just don't go away and scarring is very very deep.  Diagnosis:  Morgellons Disease. It is mostly Lyme Disease related and don't freak out when you research it as not everyone sees the fibers.  Call around to get a Dr that treats Lyme Disease, all other Drs will think you are nuts. Good Luck

same problem here....know how embarassing it is for a 40 yr old woman to walk around w/all these nasty looking things on her? OMG it's so bad....actually had a nurse at a local hospital that seriously thought i WAS a junkie...went in for different reason, but he treated me miserably...told him to drug test me, said he couldn't unless the dr. ordered the test...told him i'd request it...but that's how bad they are!!!
