Abcess Timeline

Hi I recently was hospitalized for an abcess that got infected.. the infection was so bad that  I spend 5 days at the hospital, now its been 2 months and im getting another one. However this time I did not wait til it got infected i went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics.. it is still getting red around the little bump but is so much smaller i just went to the doctor 2 days ago should i wait to go back and finish my antibiotics or should I go again to make sure everything is fine? please help im so scared

Thank You Its actually healing way better than the other one.  I still have like 3 days of antibiotics so hopefully it will go away completely by then.

Hello,
You should take the prescribed antibiotics as if the bump is getting smaller, then probably it is healing. If the symptoms persist or worsen then you may need incision and drainage for which you should consult a dermatologist.
