I suffer with eczema so i am very careful with what soaps, laundry detergent i use because that can set my dry skin off.

I have tried creams from the doctors also all kinds of antihistamines they both not working.
I have been given Prednisolone tablet (steroid tablet) it has helped a little but i am still ver itchy and it is getting to the point were my skin is so sore and brusied.

Thank you for your help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Itching all over the body without any rash can be due to many reasons. First of all, it can be due to dry skin. Then scabies and hives, internal diseases like liver and kidney disorders, diabetes, iron deficiency anemia, irritation and allergic reactions to chemicals, wool, soaps, cosmetics and certain foods  can also cause itchy skin.

You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing.

If the symptoms persist then it will be better to consult a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Get tested for food allergies.  I hate it when dermatologists just give you a cream to slap on there instead of looking for a cause.  Have you tried changing to unscented Dove soap?  Have you recently changed laundry detergent?  I hope it goes away soon.
