MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
From the symptoms one possibility that is coming to my mind is of intertrigo. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I am right now nodding my head because i know exactly your systems(i feel your pain) and i can only speak for myself about how i received the discomfort so...with that being said do go to your ob/gyn for further medical advice. Now, my discomfort came about when my boyfriend would come home every weekend from school and these trips happened consequetively for two months. Body chemistry was good no odors, itching, swelling, nothing--until i noticed on this one particular weekened visit i started itching maybe later that night but defitnately the next day because i started to carve out my genital area with my fingernail! I scratched it so much that it began to swell. Instead of getting on the phone with the doc, i called my boyfriend in a bit of RAGE because nothing has ever happend before this inccidence and my routine didn't change...well needless to say i paid him a surprise visit the following week and a half and there i met his sidekick who he has been seeing for a month. So my presumption was right...My body was telling me that there was a little extra body fluids added that time. When people have unprotected sex and exchange body fluids back n forth, a woman's body will let her know something is wrong...stay tuned into your body...whenever it doesn't act or react the same...something is wrong. Hope i helped. Take care of yourself
