Bhupinder Kaur, MD please help

I had an allergic reaction to alleve that caused a few rashes on my penis.. This was an abnormal allergic reaction to this medication, as my dermatologist said I had this reaction was a mild case of Stevens Johnson syndrom (he's only seen this specific reaction a few times in his career).. I had canker soars in my mouth, rash on my butt and most important a few rashes on my penis... Every thing else has healed completely except the rashes on my penis.. I would say the infected skin is 70% of what it once was... What I need to know is how do I get this skin to return to normal?  I have been using vasaline and some betamethason dipropionate cream.. It seems to help but whenever I masterbate or have sex this skin seems to return to a tender state.  Does salt water help heal wounds faster?  How do you suggest I proceed?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The treatment of choice for steven johnson’s syndrome is corticosteroids and you are already using topical steroids. Other than that, take some antihistaminic and apply calamine lotion on the rash. Also wear cotton undergarments. Avoid masturbation for some day and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
