"Birthmark" appearing on penis head

I'm 16 and I have just recently discovered (within the past few months) a small "birth mark" mark on the top of my penis. It is NOT a bump...there's no textual difference between it and the rest of the skin....purely smooth. It's just darker, browner, exactly like a birthmark (only I was not born with it). It is not painful or anything like that.

It is a little less than 0.5 cm size, and in a circle shape; I also have another one there but that is about a dot in size.

Also, I don't really want to go see a doctor as it may be nothing?

I am worried as it could be something bad?

Anyone had this problem? Please help! I don't understand why it would appear now, as I said, I am 16.

I have had no sexual contact or anything like that either. Anybody have any answers??

I had the same thing happen to me when i was probably about 15. It made me extremely self-conscious and more unconfident around girls than I already was. 6 years later my penis hasn't fallen off, I've never asked a doc about it, but I haven't had any problems and no girl I've slept with has cared. I wouldn't worry too much :)

Sorry, going to bump this again in hopes that somebody sees it.

So is it possible for a "birthmark" to appear in teenagehood like I have described? Should I be concerned? Some peace of mind would be incredibly wonderful.
