Hello,
If it is present since birth then it can’t be a freckle or solar lentigo.Bleaching agents or topical medications are then not very useful and it shows good to excellent response using Ruby, Alexandrite or ND YAG lasers. Multiple treatments are required to eliminate the collections of pigment cells seen deep in the dermis.Hence I would suggest that you discuss with your dermatologist the option of laser treatment.
I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
Hi,
I believe its a birthmark. Because I had it since childhood. I don't like their appearance on my face so I'd like to at least fade it out. You said bleaching agent... will that work and how harsh is it to the skin surrounding it? What about toothpaste?
Thank you for the reply djsingh
Hello,
It is very difficult confirming the diagnosis without examination but it looks like a freckle or solar lentigo.Freckles are small brownish spots on human skin, predominantly found on the face.
The treatment for freckles include various skin creams like hydroquinone, bleaching agent, tretinoin cream, regular use of sunscreens and creams containing AHA..Apply hydroquinone cream on skin and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.
I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
