Black Vertical Stretch Marks

I have black vertical stretch marks on my inner thigh.

They have been there for 2-3 weeks now. I had stretch marks before they look like reddish- purple for few weeks and then turn white. But this is different.

I have dark vertical stretch mark lines in my inner thighs.   Dr.Oz said on his show too much cortisol is being produced by adrenals and requires surgery. That's all he said no details. I tried to find more information about this on the internet but nothing is related to my stretch marks. What should I do? I would like some opinions on this.
Also how can I post questions in Ask the Experts forums.  Or you just can't post it.

Any insights are appreciated
Thanks

First of all thank you for replying and for your support.

These are things in common and not in common for Cushing’s Disease

Common and uncommon signs in me of Cushing’s Disease.
Common- acne- muscle weakness, Depression, anxiety and irritability, Decreased libido (maybe my mental illness or side effects of medications? Or both, it was not too bad when I was on them), Glucose intolerance I have to rest/nap for a while after eating anything that is high in sugar. I don’t know why maybe because of the pills. These pills do mess up your sugar metabolism when you come off it.  I have thinner forearms than before, but not thin legs when compared to a person with Cushing’s Disease.

Uncommon- Weight gain, particularly around your midsection and upper back, Rounding of your face (moon face),  facial flushing, Fatty pad or hump between your shoulders (buffalo hump), Slow healing of cuts, insect bites and infections, Thicker or more visible body and facial hair (hirsutism), New or worsened high blood pressure (I don’ think I have this since I am not overweight and I am young, 22 yrs)

There are some on the right side as well, they just started to appear, I stretched that area maybe that’s why.

I will somehow manage to see a dermatologist sooner or later for these stretch marks.

Anything serious?

Yes it is difficult to give exact diagnoses just based on medical information.  It’s just that I am frustrated with all sorts of health problems like poor general health such as low energy, easily stressed and tired, constant need for napping/resting, glucose intolerance that makes me nap/rest to be normal again, poor sleep and the list is long.  I wish good lifestyle and diet did improvements for me, but has not done much.

Furthermore, doctors do not help much or say since you are young (22 years old) nothing is serious, or tell me anything else how to get well. I am tired of going to them.

Any tips?

I will keep you posted on how I am doing.

There I no more improvement from well balanced diet (low sugar diet/ mostly fruit sugars), exercise (light 30-45 min walk since anything higher than this, I feel as if I am doing more harm than good, and I do it inside my house, its winter here), fluids and rest for about 9 months.

I will somehow manage to see a dermatologist sooner or later for stretch marks.  I doubt that it is something serious, but it’s better to be safe.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Stretch marks can appear when there is rapid stretching of the skin. It is common in rapid gaining or losing of weight, pregnancy, puberty, cushings syndrome and overuse of steroids. What you are talking about overproduction of cortisol happens in Cushing’s syndrome. You can get yourself evaluated for that from a physician.

Eat healthy, nutritious food ,drink plenty of fluids and do moderate exercises. Laser therapies, and dermabrasion, alone or in combination have also been shown to be effective in diminishing the appearance of stretch marks. For that you need to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
