They are likely to be due to sun exposure. If your skin is oily, you can use white vinegar once a day on the spots. The acid in it will fade them. But it is very drying, so only suitable for oily skin. There are many moisturizers with acids in them that will fade the spots more slowly. The sun causes uneven pigmentation for everybody, whether you call them freckles or age spots.
Are you referring to the white vinegar we can buy from supermarkets? Also how can I further confirm the identity of these spots? The thing is I don't have any freckles or dark patches on my face, only these three random dark spots on my face.
Hello,
Unfortunately the link could not be opened but for this black or dark brown spot on face, options include treatment with vitamin C and hydrocortisone, peel with carbon dioxide snow and alexandrite and ND-Yag Q-Switched laser treatment preceded by a hydroquinone-based application. Please discuss these options with your dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
