Boil became firm and have another on just beside it.

Hello,I am 27, I had a boil  near vagina about 2 years ago. When I saw it for the first time, I had searched over the internet and tried hot water, salt remedy on it then worked well but it slowly became firm and hard with soft center. Currently I have another boil just beside it after nearly 2 years. I am in USA now, afraid to go to dermatologist as it's way too expensive. Is there any way to treat it at home? Please let me know, thanks.

From what you are describing, you don't need to go to a dermatologist- you can go to any basic care doctor and they should be able to help you.  To prevent these, you will want to make sure to keep the area clean, if you shave that area- make sure you use a clean razor and wash before and after shaving.  Typically these are caused by ingrown hairs that get infected- sweat and just basic 'dirt and oil' of living make the infection worse.
