Brown line on top of lips

I am 13 years old and i have a bown-ish line on top of my lip and it was caused by chapped lips how can you get rid of it fast like in 3 day.

You can get these treatments done from a dermatologist. It will be less effective with vaseline alone.

For such a brown line, treatment with vitamin C and hydrocortisone, peel with carbon dioxide snow and alexandrite and ND-Yag Q-Switched laser treatment preceded by a hydroquinone-based application os effective. Please discuss these options with your dermatologist.

Well i have another question, How much will it take for the brownish line on top of my lips to go away cause i have had it for like one month and a little more days and it is really imberassing.

And what causeing that brownish line?

I just want it to go away asap it really weird looking.

Thanks for all the great info, but i have tryed Vaseline but it not really working. I havent tryed the other thing cause i dont have them. Any more suggest. And thanks again for the info.

For such chapped lips, avoid licking the lips as saliva evaporates quickly resulting in them being drier than before. Drink plenty of water and take multivitamin supplements and do not apply lipstick or other cosmetic products for some days. Use a humidifier to moisturize the air in your home and apply shea butter or Vaseline on your lips.

You can also use a homemade ointment mixed from 1 tsp glycerine, 1 tsp lemon juice and 1 tsp castor oil. Spread on lips overnight, refrigerating the leftovers for future use. Eat foods high in calcium, magnesium and flaxseed oil. If a week of compresses and emollients don't do the trick, you can add over-the-counter 1 percent hydrocortisone ointment to your regimen.

continue using it. Apply it every couple of hours. Vaseline is the best lip balm.
