Hello,
I was watching television and this commercial comes up with Mederma. Is that a good product to use to take away acne scars on my face and back?

Hello,
Benzoyl peroxide is effective for active acne lesions.Since now you are left only with scars which are a result of scratching, so they are post inflammatory hyperpigmentation scars. The treatment is the same as advised.

Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.

Hey,
I wouldn't describe them as scars. I don't know how to describe them. It's most likely when I had acne on my back I tend to scratch them and it left black little circles/marks. I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed this cleanser he invented called Berry MD skincare with Benzoyl Peroxide 10%. I've been using it for a year now and it doesn't work. I don't have much acne on my back; just a little hear and there. But what I mostly need is a product to remove the dark uneven spots on my back. Write back ASAP. Thanks.

Hello,
The lesions that you have described sounds like a scar with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.Apply hydroquinone cream on these scars and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
