Dark marks on the neck

Hello, I'm Eleonore. I posted a few days ago on the dermatology general forum ("do I suffer from CRP?") showing some pictures - to ask an opinion about marks I have on the inner neck since I'm 12 ( I'm 32 y.o. and mixed race female). None of the dermatologists I met so far could advise what I was suffering from and what to do, and I would really like to find a way to get rid of these marks rather than hidding them under make-up...

I am not pregnant for information. Also, these marks can be sometimes itchy, have an irregular surface and got worst in time.

I received some feedbacks kindly posted on the general forum, and would also like to have your opinion please.

Many thanks in advance for your help,
Eleonore.

Hi Tschock,

Many thanks for your new feedback, I realise I posted twice on the same forum while I was trying to post on the Ask an Expert one, woops :) Anyway!

I have never had a biopsy and do not recall any of my gps or dermatologist mentionning it. I thought though about laser, and asked on several occasions if could do it but my docs all said no (@#*%!) because of the fact that I am mixed race and that it could create new problems by making my skin really uneven. So I gave up the idea - although I saw on Youtube doctors using laser to remove scars and spots on Black/Mixed race skins so I guess I will ask again when I meet a doc next time.

Thank you for the tip about antihistamine, I never had any but will add it to the list to discuss with the doctor.

I feel now I just need to take an appointment with a new doctor, let's see what they say. I will soon be back to France, will keep you posted hopefully with good news :)

Bye for now,
Regards,
Eleonore.

Hi Eleonore,

I'm curious to know if anyone had ever done a biopsy of the skin problem.

Have you ever tried any sort of antihistamine?

Have you thought about having laser surgery to remove said spots?
That's a drastic measure though, as it would leave at least a little scarring.

I feel that you would need to see ( yet another ) dermatologist or an allergist in order to help.
