Hello,
So u r saying that it wont harm me in future if i dont go for excision and let
those cyst stay as they hv been for decades. However wud go for
warm compresses at home. Its strange that no lotion/cream is effective
in such a common problem caused due to itching near genitalia.
Thanks and regards.

Hello,
These small cysts can be tackled with warm compresses. Normally they are harmless and painless. If they turn painful then it means that they are getting infected. Antibiotics are needed in that case. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Thanx for ur suggestion....but those cysts r so small that i doubt they can be
removed by surgical means(apart frm 1 cyst)...read somewhere that a heating
pad wud be useful....and also tell me that if they r harmless...because
I wont be going for any excision as cyst hasnt given me any problem
in past so many years.

Hello,
These can be due to clogged pores or small cysts. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, upper arm and genitalia are common sites for sebaceous cysts. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts.

I suggest you to get it examined from a dermatologist and get cyst ruled out. They need excision and cannot be removed at home.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
