Dermatitis Herpetiformis

Deae Dr.

After suffring for months from allergy and itching without none reason other than allergy and eczima as three dooctors said before, just yesterday I visited a doctor who said that 95% I'm suffring from Dermatitis Herpetiformisspecially when I informed him that I have some digestion problems from more than 15 years and doctors said that it is a spastic colon.
Doctor yesterday said that it is an allergy from wheat wich makes the ammune system biuld antibodies and sometimes attack the skin.
He said that they have to take sample from the rash area and when he informed me I refused so he prescriped cream and allerg medecin.

My question is: If I started a wheat free diet could this make the rash go away or became better or not ?? i.e. is that neccessary to take a medication with the diet ??
Because I'm scred to death from that sample.

Also I read today that this kind of allergy might cause an intestianal damage, so if I started a wheat free diet is that damage is recoverable (reversable) or I have to take treatment ??

Thanks Dr.

Thanks for the answer.
I already visited the immunity doctor and he made many testes amd ivistigations for different posibilities.

He cinfurmed the DH. and he told me that thaks GOD this long duration (more than 15 years) didn't cause further complications other than that heavy rash and allergy.

Now I'm on gluten free diet, the allerg became lighter and I'm getting better but I still have it.

My digestion improves without medecation, he just gaive me a prepiotic (after piotic) >

I don't know if I will be able to have wheat again or not and don't know how I will get used to choose my food>
And also don't know when I will completly be free from that allergy >

Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Before you go in for a gluten free diet, you need to get investigations done like a simple blood test for IgA antibodies and by a skin biopsy. Gluten free diet may help in improving the symptoms and will reduce any associated intestinal damage or other complications.

I suggest you to get an examination done from a physician and get the diagnosis confirmed as treatment is diagnosis specific.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
