One of those folliculitis vs herpes question

On here as I don't have health insurance, and I'm hoping for a little guidance - though I will get tested anyways.

I'm a 27 year old male. I am in a monogomous relationship at the moment, and have been over the past year - long distance unfortunately so sex occurs every couple months.  I've never had a problem in my genital region over the past year, and its only been a week or so since i last had sex with my partner.

I shave everywhere down in my genital area (testicals, shaft, everything).  When i last shaved, i thought i nicked myself...and really thought nothing of it... Later on that day i noticed a couple of spots were really red.  When i touch it, it demands me to itch it, which of course i do not do. They are not painful...I've had no history of herpes, and my partner is clean (as far as i know)... I did just have a fever last night, however, I cannot fully believe it is this as my entire house has had fevers this week, and I was the last one to get it.

Is this just some infection or do i need to stop shaving or what....

I've attached a photo of what sores appear to be - No real anatomy is shown.

Any assistance would be excellent.

Thank you very much

I had sex (unprotected, as this far in the relationship, I wasn't particularly worried), and then noticed these maybe 5-6 days after... Rough sex yes... and I shaved the area every day for the most part of it.  They are scabbed at the moment, and appear to be decreasing in size (this is 5-6 days later after they first developed)... though my tecticles as a whole feel a tad bit sore/uncomfortable (more uncomfortable than sore) now...Still itchy not the cysts/boils themselves....

As far as the rest of my body goes, i can't say any of this is followed by these cysts, only because as i previously mentioned, I have a house full, a everyone's sick - so random symptoms from body aches to the fever, everyone in the house started getting those symptoms prior to me...

It helps very much, I figure if this isn't gone by next week, I'll consult a doctor, as I'd like to be sure I'm really in need of the help and not just in-home tlc.

Thanks!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like a boil or a cyst after shaving and rough sex. But if you have had unprotected intercourse then it can be due to herpes sore. You should keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics and warm compresses. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done and get cysts and herpes sores ruled out.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing
